Velisa Wainright “Lisa” Walker age 45 of Willard, died Saturday July 13, 2012 at New Hanover Reg. Med. Center. Lisa was born January 9, 1967 in Ventura CA, daughter of the late William Alfred and Rose Jones Wainright. Lisa was a member of Penderlea Assembly of God Church, and a member of the Union Rescue Squad. She was employed for 26 years with the Pender County Sheriffs Department holding many different positions over her carrier. She is survived by her husband Johnny Carol Walker, and a son Tommy Lee Jones both of the home; a brother Jamie Wainright of Watha; a sister, Cindy Wainright King and husband Paul of New Bern; a nephew Christopher King; and a niece Hanna Stewart.

Funeral services will be Sunday July 15, 2012 at 3:00pm at Harrell’s Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Gary Manning and Reverend Sammy Boone will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. Deputies of the Pender County Sheriffs Dept. will be pallbearers. The family will receive friends Sunday at 1:30 pm at Harrell’s Funeral Home, and at other times at the Penderlea Assembly of God fellowship hall.
